Laminating

Preservation comes in many forms, and laminating is a process that has transcended the art world and been favored by many. Like dry mounting, it is also a heat set process. Lamination gets used after an item has been dry mounted to add a film of protection so no glass is needed.

Lamination is an ideal preservation method for art that cannot handle heat or the transfer process, so it is not advised for more fragile art pieces. Our laminates are available in different finishes like satin or linen to give protection some added flair.

A film can ensure no stains or foreign materials interact with the art, which increases its value and keeps it preserved. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about laminating and custom framing, so feel free to call us and ask about our lamination process!
